These paintings have emerged from inner feeling, imagery, sensation and movement. They capture the energy flow in a particular moment in time.

Greetings to you! My name’s Eric and I’ve been following your work on Vimeo for some time now. ‘Papaoutai’ and ‘Earthquake’ are my favorite. Not entirely sure why but for some reason they feel particularly genuine and your proximity to the camera makes me feel like I am participating too and facing my own emotions face to face, despite not being a dancer myself. I even messaged you on Vimeo but I have no idea if the message was received, as Vimeo sometimes malfunctions. If you can see it, then you know what I am talking about. I found your website ‘Knowledge of the Soma’ through your Vimeo profile and I couldn’t help but admire your hard work here too because it takes a lot of guts IMHO to be willingly vulnerable and devote a whole website to such a deep emotional-spiritual journey (at least this is what I am receiving from reading your posts and viewing your paintings). How long did it take you on average to complete each one of those paintings? Do you only paint to express your feelings or also for the sake of doing so as well?
Hi Eric! Thank you so much for this comment and your appreciation of my work! My exact intention is for this blog to be an open diary where my deepest parts can be expressed in a way that’s special to me and for them to be seen.
I have painted these paintings in the course of a few years now. I am not a big painter and I rarely have an impulse to grab my crayons. Nevertheless, I wanted them to have a special space on my blog. I paint some of the paintings quite quickly. It is just a momentary spontaneous energy flow that comes through my hand. Some other paintings need more time, I need to feel the color, what kind of line I want to draw, where exactly on the piece of paper does it want to be drawn… its a conversation with my inner feelings/visions/sensations. Sometimes it is about expressing a feeling, sometimes its simply an expression of energy that I cannot make sense of.
